What We Offer
Little Acorns Out of School Club Ltd provides an outstanding, inclusive, wraparound service for the children of West Jesmond Primary School in a safe and happy environment. We encourage our children to develop friendships and positive relationships. We pride ourselves in providing our children with the time and space in which to imagine, create and explore in a secure and caring setting.
We have options available for you to book Breakfast Clubs & After School Clubs. (We also offer Holiday Clubs in some of the School Holiday breaks) Please register with us and follow up with an email with your requirements. Once you have registered, your details will be emailed through to us and we will then respond to you within 48hrs to follow up on your enquiry.
BREAKFAST CLUB
Morning sessions run from 7.45 until 9.00, Monday to Friday.
REGULAR WEEKLY BOOKINGS
A Morning session at Breakfast Club costs £8.00 per child, per session- for regular weekly sessions.

AD HOC/EXTRA LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS/CHANGES TO REGULAR BOOKINGS
Ad-hoc/extra bookings are available, depending on availability and are charged at £8.00 + 20% administration fee (£9.60) per child, per Breakfast Club session.

During the session, the children are given a breakfast of cereal or toast, and a drink of milk, water or orange/apple/mango juice. Fruit is available for the children at all times. The children can then choose from a range of varied and appropriate activities that will prepare them for their day ahead at School.
We ask parents to ring the doorbell and drop off at the door for Breakfast Club where a member of our LA team will be there waiting to take your child through to the Main Hall.
*Please note Children must arrive by 8.15am to receive a Breakfast or by 8.30am to join us on our walk to School. Children are safely escorted the short distance to School, accompanied by trained staff in time for the beginning of the school day.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
Afternoon sessions run from 15.15 until 17.55 Monday to Friday.

Please let your child’s teacher know the afternoons that they are booked in with us at Little Acorns so the teacher knows to expect us at collection. The children are collected from their teacher at school by a member of our LA team and are given the opportunity to play in the school yard for around 30-45 minutes. (Children should always be equipped with appropriate footwear and waterproof jackets as each afternoon we have to walk back to our venue and will be getting wet should the weather be bad.) In our outdoor space, the children will participate in activities that promote physical development and allow them some outdoor play time. The children are then escorted back to Jesmond URC on Burdon Terrace where they are given a healthy snack.
We have a delicious snack menu and our children are encouraged to try a variety of Fruit & Vegetables. Please note, This is just a snack, once at home, children will still need their usual evening meal.
We also ask that at pick up from After School Club, parents ring the doorbell and wait at the door and a member of our LA team will bring your child along with all of their belongings to the door for you. If someone other than the main registered parents/carers are collecting your child/children then please confirm this in writing by email prior to any sessions and we will provide you with a collection password.
During the session, we provide an enabling environment where the children can choose from various activities to keep them engaged and happy throughout their time with us. We firmly believe that our play environment should be designed to encourage consistent ‘learning through play’ at all times. Free play in an enabling environment is hugely important to us here at Little Acorns as we believe play also allows children to relax, let off steam, develop social skills such as concentration and co-operation, encourages the development of the imagination, develops motor skills and teaches self expression. A structured activity or ‘challenge’ will also be provided each day, which may be related to a theme for the week or a cultural festival or celebration.
Booking and PAYMENT
A sibling discount of 10% is available for our Breakfast & After School Club sessions (This does not apply to Ad-Hoc/Extra and our Holiday Clubs) and will be shown on your invoice along with all BACS payment details. As we are an Ofsted-Registered Childcare Provider, Childcare vouchers are also accepted. Current Childcare Vouchers we accept are Kidi Vouchers, Edenred, CompterShare, Busy Bee’s, Care 4, National Savings and more.
All invoices will be sent out via email around 20th of each month to be paid for the month ahead. Please ensure payment is made in advance of sessions for that month. A late payment charge of £10 will automatically be added to your account if payment is not made by the due date shown on your invoice. If you cancel any sessions that you have pre-paid for with at least 14 days notice then you will receive a credit on your next invoice, however this cancellation policy is NOT applicable to sessions in the month of September each year. Any late payments may result in your booking being cancelled and the space being offered to someone else as we do have large waiting lists for all of our Breakfast & After School Club sessions.
